Coherix ShaPix Technology was Showcased by Japanese partner MSYS at Intermeasure 2014 September 17 – 19 in Tokyo, Japan
Ann Arbor, Michigan, September 24, 2014 — Marubeni Information Systems (MSYS), a leading 3D vision supplier and strategic Asian partner with Coherix, Inc., showcased Coherix’s high definition ShaPix technology to demonstrate surface profiles, flatness and waviness of precision machined surfaces with one measurement at Intermeasure 2014.
Intermeasure is listed as one of the leading exhibitions dedicated to showcasing advanced measuring, testing and control equipment and technologies. There were 246 exhibitors and 83,762 attendees. Hundreds of attendees visited the MSYS booth specifically to learn about the latest in vision technologies.
Coherix ShaPix systems are the first to provide micron level, 3D views of waviness, surface shape, and relations between multiple planar surfaces on a prismatic part. It enables users to easily see the relationship between multiple critical mating surfaces in one picture, with no data interpretation required.
Attendees saw firsthand the capabilities only available with this technology. Precision manufacturers are now able to view the shape of an entire surface in 3D eliminating traditional measurement methods, processing time, and interpretation issues. The “rapid and right” visualization ability provided by ShaPix reduces manufacturing variation and provides rapid root cause analysis.
