Coherix Takes ShaPix Software to New Level by Simplifying the Process of Capturing, Analyzing and Communicating Knowledge Gained from High Density 3D Surface Measurements

Ann Arbor, Michigan, September 18, 2014 — Coherix, a pioneer in the development of advanced and powerful micron level 3D visualization solutions, has enhanced its ShaPix software capabilities in radial thickness variation measurements, surface profile, measurement range, datum construction and multiple language support.

These new features simplify the process of capturing, analyzing and then communicating the knowledge gained from high density surface measurements. Further software enhancements have been done to the setup; with simpler wizards making the process of capturing easy and straight forward.

New analysis tools simple naming and streamlined configuration wizards reduce analysis time so technicians can quickly understand the measurements they captured. New reporting features enablevisualizations that clearly show surfaces, tolerances, and how the surface conforms to those tolerances.

This leads to a quicker understanding of a planar surface and streamlines the process of solving problems, controlling processes, and limiting scrap. These capabilities enable production personnel, quality managers, and lab technicians to identify, solve and clearly explain root causes to stakeholders, translating to more throughput and lowering costs.

Coherix designs and delivers high-speed, high-definition, 3D metrology and inspection tools for product development and the management of manufacturing processes for the precision manufacturing and semiconductor industries. Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan the company has technical centers in Europe and the Asia Pacific region. Coherix products are being utilized around the world at companies such as ASE, SPIL, Marvell, BorgWarner, Ford, Honda, Allison Transmission, Chrysler, General Motors, Micron, Infineon, John Deere, Volvo Technology Transfer and Aisin among others.
